Two of the most important factors in the completion of a successful ecological restoration project are quality installation and post installation site management. JFNew provides native plant installation and natural area management expertise for a wide variety of projects including:

Our full-time staff is composed entirely of natural area management professionals trained in the most current restoration techniques. Continuing education for our team members, use of innovative techniques and experience from proven management practices are the cornerstones of our approach. Services

• Installation of native plant seed, plug and bare-root plant materials
• Installation of balled and burlapped, bare-root and containerized native trees and shrubs
• Native landscape maintenance including mulch application, irrigation, mowing, weed control and brush removal
• Bioengineering and erosion control installation for lake shoreline, stream bank and slope stabilization
• Exotic plant species control through mechanical cutting, mowing, hand pulling and herbicide treatment by licensed professionals
• Prescribed burn services including permitting, planning, execution and documentation by our certified and trained staff (NWCG standards)
• Customized site maintenance and monitoring

On every project, great care is taken to ensure plant materials are handled and installed properly. Our ecologists are experienced in working with contractors, municipalities, developers, utilities and other landowners. We have full GPS/GIS capabilities to provide the most accurate and technologically up-to-date information to our clients. We have mobilization centers in Walkerton and Indianapolis, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; Madison Wisconsin, and Grand Haven, Michigan. JFNew is certified and licensed to perform herbicide applications in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
