Golf Course

GolfGolf Courses have a unique opportunity to address and conserve natural resource in a sustainable way with proper planning and prioritization. Our involvement often begins with a wetland or stream investigation relative to permitting needs. Based upon our initial site assessment, we work with the course designer to minimize impacts to wetlands and streams and ensure the layout can be permitted by State and Federal agencies. Mitigation can often be completed on-site while minimizing impacts to natural wetlands and streams through good design and planning. Native vegetation is often a good solution for portions of the course not in the immediate fairway areas, providing critical green space and habitat in developing areas.

JFNew is well known for our ability to find solutions to natural resource issues as well as successfully implementing the natural features we design. This often involves working alongside the golf course architect and contractor as a team member in the project. The end result is a combination of a high quality golf course with natural resources and water features that enhance the ecological integrity and economic viability of the course.
