The integration of natural systems provides the additional benefits of low maintenance costs and low energy use. Combined with good planning and design, Conservation Design can allow a sustainable coexistence of land development and our natural resources. JFNew has been a leader in the integration of natural resource management with land development. As shown in the following examples, our experience has included natural systems for water treatment, disposal and reuse of stormwater and wastewater, rain gardens, habitat restoration and green roof tops.
While few project sites have the characteristics necessary to implement all of these measures, it has been our experience that every site has unique opportunities to use conservation design approaches and solutions.
